The Square Foot Nutrition Project is garden-enhanced nutrition education for elementary students in schools where 50 percent or more of the children receive free or reduced-price meals. Students grow Pacific Northwest crops such as peas, potatoes, salad greens and radishes. Lessons to promote health and wellness are taught in the classrooms and schoolyard gardens using interactive learning activities.
